We are located just outside Mineral Point Wisconsin, in the beautiful rolling hills of the SW corner of the state. Our farm has been in Jim's family for over 100 years and he was born and raised here and farmed this land all his life, as his father and grandfather before him. We have several hundred acres of land both pasture and cropland and access to much more beautiful riding land.

We raise Registered Angus cattle as well as farming our land, putting up hay for our own stock as well as selling hay.

We have a small band of broodmares and our stallion as well as several young horses we are working with. My spare time is spent gardening , doing my art work,  and entertaining our spoiled rotten heelers !

We have 3 wonderful grandchildren who have their Quarter pony "Cola" here.... they all love to ride and work on art projects when they are here.

I have been involved with horses for over 40 years, the Appaloosa being my favorite breed for both versatility and disposition. Although I have been involved with other breeds I seem to always return to the Appaloosa. Having grown up working under several great trainers , with different breeds, I have a great respect for all breeds and disciplines.

I have worked as both trainer and instructor for many years. Having spent the greater part of my life riding , training and teaching english disciplines  and spending 2 years studying dressage I have now settled pretty much into Western riding. I find my foundation in hunt seat and dressage to be an asset in my training and riding of the western horses.

I have been fortunate in  having some good horses, good teachers and the ability to look beyond my own barn and my own training methods and have been successful in both training and teaching, having qualified several Western pleasure and halter horses for the World and teaching and coaching both youth and adults to a multitude of wins. In the 90's I moved on to work with running Quarter horses for several years , both racing and retraining horses from the track for other jobs. I have always kept one or two good Appaloosas around and several years ago had the privilege of purchasing the stallion Sleepy Son Sation. We looked hard to find a stallion that carried all the qualities we wanted. We have not regretted our decision.......

Our mares are all balanced, strong, pretty headed with good pedigrees . I have always been fond of the Abdull Pok A Son line.....liking a horse with good leg and feet under them and horses that can multi task. Our horses  have been successful in the showring as well as being used on cattle and a variety of other things. They have dispositions we all look for and the brains and ability to take you any direction you choose to go.....and they are pretty!!

We Welcome you to stop by at anytime for a visit and a cup of coffee........always love showing off the horses!!!
